The following is for those of you who would like
to hear a little about Reilly's exciting journey to the place he
is today.
"Hello everyone, I suppose I have to start telling
you my story from the beginning - here it is:

My name is Radomir Klacar, but I'm known to all
my friends, family and customers as Reilly. I was born in Eastern
Europe, in the former Yugoslavia. I spent my childhood, teenage
years and most of my adult life in the capital city- Sarajevo, a
city rich in culture, fashion, music, and art.
From as early as I could remember, I showed great
interest in art. I started drawing when I was in pre-primary school
and my experience went on from there. At 13, I had already started
making my own pocket money with my artwork. My family had a friend
who was a funeral director and he was very fascinated with my talent.
While the other kids were playing, I spent my days carving portraits
on monuments for his company. I did this all the way through high
school and after that I went an art school and graduated successfully.
In the meantime, I did a lot of oil on canvas paintings
and I staged many exhibitions. My paintings were sold to many people
interested in my artwork, with great compliments. After I finished
my schooling, I got a job in an office in the heart of the city.
There I met a man whose profession was being able to make absolutely
anything out of ceramics. Once again, I found another thing I was
interested in. I thought it unbelievable that you could make all
sorts of things out of such a simple thing like clay. When he saw
my passion and interest, he started showing me how to do ceramics
in his studio.
Then came the time to go to the Yugoslav National
Army, because it was compulsory for every man to do so. This was
when I first came across tattooing the old-fashioned way, with cotton
and a needle. Everyone knew I was an artist, so they wanted me to
cover-up or do a new tattoo on them. I agreed, and quickly found
I greatly enjoyed tattooing, but I never thought about doing it
professionally. When I came back from the army, I opened my own
ceramics studio from scratch. Due to my business expanding so much,
within a few months I was able to employ four more workers. Everything
we made was unique which included: masks, vases, ashtrays, little
figurines etc.

My work was selling across Europe and was going
really well. Unfortunately, then came the war in the Balkans. My
studio stopped operating, like many others, because there was no
electricity, water and other essential things. I was struggling
just like every other citizen, trying to survive from day to day.
Money was tight and I desperately needed to feed my family. That
was when I decided to start tattooing again because there were many
UN soldiers in the city interested in tattoos. So, I made my own
tattoo machine, which didn't look very nice, but it worked. With
a little knowledge of english, I went and spoke to a few soldiers
about tattoos and gave them my address. Not long after that, I had
many customers who were mainly American soldiers. They all suggested
that I should move to a Western country because of my talent. However,
I never thought I would get the chance. But as they say, miracles
happen! So here I am, living happily in Perth with my family.

So that's the story so far. I would like to take
this opportunity to thank the people who have helped me along my
journey, the customers who have shown faith in my abilities as an
artist, and to you for taking the time to read this page."
