"Addicted to Ink"

My first venture into the wonderful world of tattoos began a long time ago (too long ago to be precise) in the valleys of Wales, with a small celtic tattoo. Little did I know then that this small, inconspicuous tattoo would spark a passion in me and begin a journey of my addiction to ink which has enable me to travel and work on three continents.

After a detour into the serious and responsible world of teaching, a search for adventure and a dream of a new life took me to the USA. In 2000 I ventured into a small tattoo studio in North Carolina where I met a talented tattooist at Lucky Lady Studios who was soon to become my mentor and teacher. I was offered an apprenticeship and took my first nervous steps towards becoming a professional tattoo artist. Traveling and attending conventions in the USA opened my eyes to the high standards of tattooing that are possible today and encouraged me to develop my style. I love bold, bright and colourful tattoos, and also appreciate the challenge of cover-ups.

After tattooing for a year in studios in Florida I returned to the UK in 2003 to work at a busy studio in the West Midlands. The last part of my journey has bought me to Perth, Australia. A lucky recommendation to visit Reilly's has seen me as part of their talented team since July 2004.

I'm just a girl . . . . . who likes retro 50's & 60's kitsch, classic/custom hot rod cars, Las Vegas, rockabilly/psychobilly music, live bands, bad movies, good vodka, thai food and lollypops!

Below are a few websites of artists who inspire me; some of whom I have had the good fortune to meet and form friendships with, and collect some more ink to feed my addiction along the way . . . .
