Your skin art has been hygienically applied with
sterile equipment. To preserve a fresh unfaded result , it is essential
to avoid infection during the healing period.
AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
Wash the tattoo in clean, warm running water (shower)
using a mild liquid antibacterial soap. DO NOT use bar soap. Rinse
thoroughly and pat dry. DO NOT RUB or SCRATCH.
Wait for 30/40 minuted to allow excess water in
the new tattoo to evaporate and inflammaton to subside a little.
Apply the healing cream (we have a wide range and will suggest the
best cream to use on your type of skin) evenly over the freshly
tattooed skin. Use only as much as the skin will absorb. DO NOT
leave a thick film on the surface. Most people experience a mild
tingling sensation after the first few applications. this is quite
normal. Rebandage tattoo.
Repeat this process 3 to 4 times daily for up to
3 days. Following this initial period you may stop using the bandage.
However, continue using the cream 3 to 4 times daily.
Wear clean clothes. Avoid close fitting garmented
as they will absorb the cream and dry out the tattoo.
During the healing period AVOID: Sunbathing, Chlorine,
Soaking in a bath, Unwashed clothing, Touching with unwashed hands,
Scratching, Salt water, Oral contact. The tattoo with take roughly
1 - 2 weeks to heal fully. Keep up aftercare for at least this period.
If you have any cream left, it wouldn't hurt to keep applying as
normal, even if your tattoo appears fully healed.
Once the tattoo has healed, come in to the shop
for a check up or touch up if required. If you have any queries,
don't hesitate in calling us.
REMEMBER: Use sunscreen whenever you expose your
tattoo/body to the sun. Regular use will aid in the prevention of
premature skin aging, pigment fading, and skin cancer.
